The ed sentence

Try starting your sentence with the ed from of the verb it makes for a punchy sentence start to a sentence.

Remember the rule  when you have finished  your ed phrase, place a comma then write the rest of the sentence.

some -ed words, surprised, excited , possessed , committed,

Examples - Determined to win tony pushed himself in the last metres of the sprint. 

Concerned for the well being of the others ,the primer misters passed new laws.

Horror-fried by the gore ,i turned away form the scean.

My sentences:  Delighted, by the lovely smell of cakes, I walked in to the room.

Committed to the class i did the work.

The "power" sentence.

If you waffle a lot in your writing try using a power sentence.

 Being your paragraph  with a power sentence of 12 words or less. Get straight to get the point.

Examples - money is the root of all evil

What is right , isn't always popular.

My sentences. Don't judge a book by its cover. Treat overs how you want to treated.

 

Independent Task

Grasping, for breath after being chase down the road for 4 miles.

Deciding, to eat cake or to not eat cake.

Noticing the painting was missing from the wall.

The 'w' Sentence 

Try starting your sentence with a w word. these sentences sound thoughtful and knowledgeable.

Remember the rule: Not every w word works as sentences starter. Remember to put your comma in when the parts of the sentence affected by your 'w' are fished.

Some 'w' word you can use ,who, whilst , whereas , when , where , what , with.

Examples: whilst the teacher was ,the students were pretending to listen with a  majority of the votes.

My Sentences: Whilst the teachers was talking so was the class. 

When the class was doing work the teacher was talking.


the 'ing' sentences 

try starting the sentences the-ing form of the verb .

Remember the rule when you have finished your -ing phase, place a comma, then write the rest of the sentence.

some -ing' word you can use ;listening, watching, running, reciting, realising, emerging, grasping, speaking, signalling exposing.

Examples: realising the danger ,people fled from the cities.

 My sentences:  Emerging for the dark Abby into the room.

Watching TV is boarding.

Adverb - describes a verb

Verb - doing word

Preposition - a word that gives location or movement e.g in under

The Adverb sentence 

Start the sentence with a adverb if adds interested and intrigue

Remember the rule when you start the sentence  with an adverb you need to put comma after the adverb and then finished the sentence.

Some adverbs - Slowly, Interestingly, suddenly , Surprisingly , simply, Excitedly , unfortunately , Fortunately, Confidingly , Remarkably , firstly.

Example - surprisingly, Mrs Handley was on time to class unfortunately she had forgotten her keys.

My Sentences

Unfortunately, the bell had not run.

Suddenly , The bell rang. so we could go home.

The Preposition sentence.

Remember the rule : when you start sentence  with a Preposition , you need to put a comma when  the movement or position ends.

Example - 2013 hornby high accepted  year 7/8 students throughout my time at school , I have  learnt many things. 

Some Preposition, in throughout , under above between, around,near, within, after.
